The Author Encounter is expanding it’s benefits and offerings. We are excited to announce our plans for a new series, “Behind the Page,” which will feature timely discussions between Bethany Averie and Publishing Industry Professionals such as Editors, Agents and Publishers across a range of publishing industry specific topics.
This new interview series will start with one interview in November and
December of 2020 and then continue every other month in 2021. Each episode will include backgrounds about the person being interviewed and their career interests; while focusing the conversations on information to help authors.
The series, which will be available live for all, will begin on November 13 at 6 PM Central with an episode titled “Interview with Agent Hannah VanVels,” which will see Bethany and Literary agent Hannah VanVel talking and answering industry questions. Hannah VanVels has agreed to listen to 2 to 3 pitches from the audiences as an exclusive for The Author Encounter. This is only one component of the benefits of membership.
Hannah VanVels is an agent with the Belcastro agency and has a profile on Manuscript wish list.
She is building an inclusive list with a variety of voices and genres. Hannah loves working on #OwnVoices stories, and she is looking for BIPOC voices, queer voices, and generally, voices from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, regardless of genre.
